Terrestrial college and indie stations seem going off the air for good at a clip faster than ever. It also seems that just as many of them are blanding out their formats to automated and syndicated programming to appease squares. Finding ones out there that still have real live humans who come in share their music taste and knowledge with a listening audience are great fun.
The Signal To Noise program one of those "great fun" kinds of things I am talking about. On Sunday nights from 11pm til 2am on Teaneck, NJ's 89.1 WFDU FM, Al C presents loud, snotty indie guitar rock, in-studio interviews, and the occasional live performance.
